Artist Statement

Every great artist is trying to say or express something in their work. Many of my pieces have a Chess Piece called a Rook.' This represents something I have come to see in almost every walk of life. "Strategy Is Greater Than Strength." Being strategic gives you the advantage over the obstacles that you are facing. Using repetition and fully understanding what you are up against is a major KEY to success. This key can unlock things within us and our Sub-Conscious minds that we didn't even know were there. I long to do for people what so many other artists did for me. Great artwork causes you to feel lifted. That feeling lingers with you long after you have left the piece you were looking at.

As an artist, I noticed that other creators build worlds and invite the viewers to live in them. That is what I do with my pieces. I create a worlds that represent a journey within. I would like my pieces to be a constant reminder that people have access to a greater and higher form of themselves.

In my pieces you may see letters, words, bars, steps, funky shapes, squares, toys, Chess Pieces, weapons and things of that nature. This is my way of telling the viewer to face what they are running away from. When walking going in to battle, most people don’t like it; yet it’s beautiful in it’s own way. You hate the opposing energy, but you need it to take you higher. No matter the pain or the struggle, respect the steps it took you to get to where you wanted to be.
