My artistry was born in the Womb of Wynwood, Miami, FL. Over the years I have always found myself drawn to forms of self-expression. Living in the ghettos of Miami, fighting for an identity, while trying to survive; is something that can break many, but strengthen a select few. Art always seemed to be calling to me in a way that made me want to take notice. There were many times in life I needed to clear my head and just think. The times I was homeless, enraged, depressed, or just extremely excited about life.  Wynwood would always be the area that I would go to. While walking though these areas I fell in love with the graffiti. I studied different artists and even met a few of them. I discovered an incredible art scene that was hiding in plain sight. I was then committed to becoming an artist; and from the moment I made that decision, I was one. Finally, I answered the call that was reaching out to me over years, telling me “that something” I was missing.

I delved into many different books. I studied other artists’ work. I visited galleries and museums. I fell in love with so many artists. I came to be inspired by Abstract Expression. The artists that inspire me are Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Christopher Wool, Franz Kline, Robert Motherwell, Stanley Whitney, Agnes Martin, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Hunt Slonem, Julian Schnabel, Ad Reinhardt, Willem de Kooning, and of course, Andy Warhol. These artists stood out to me because they had their on style of abstract. They also had a strong magnetic energy in their work. Having such a bold form of expression grabs people and never lets go. Whether the work is hated or loved, there is still a feeling that is evoked.

I take inspiration from many but have developed my own style. Being self-taught has allowed me a certain artistic freedom. I create to cause an increase in vibration in those that view my pieces, in the hopes that they will continue to be mesmerized by art in the same way that the artists are mesmerized by it while creating it.
